Day Sail to Elliott Bay

After a successful day sailing trip to Shilshole Marina in June, we’re happy to announce a longer trip in July! If you’re a member with a small boat and you’re interested in sailing a little farther than Port Madison bay, join us!
This event will be a 20-mile round-trip from PMYC to Elliot Bay Marina on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Requirements:
- Current PMYC member
- VHF radio on board
- Lifejackets on board
- Motor on board (gas or electric)
- Kwindoo app
Event details:
- We’re opening this event to all “small boats”. Whether or not your boat is a “small boat” is up to you to decide.
- The goal is for everyone to make it to Elliot Bay by 12:30 PM. Please plan to leave the dock with enough time for your boat to make it.
- You can stop at the fuel dock to get snacks, tie up at the marina and have lunch, or simply sail through the marina without stopping and head home.
- If you plan to stop for lunch, Elliot Bay Marina requires transient moorage reservations. This can usually be arranged day-of by calling the marina office at 206-285-4817 or using VHF channel 78. You can also call and make a reservation in advance.
- In order to receive participation points, you must use Self Tracking in the Kwindoo app and send your analytics to Alain Huggler.
There will be a meeting at the PMYC clubhouse at 9:00 AM for a quick briefing.
